In an increasingly hectic resort area, Carmel Cove Inn at
Deep Creek Lake is an oasis in the woods. Our mountain lodge hotel at Deep Creek
Lake is a former monastery nestled in old-growth woods rambling down to the lakeside, while central to the resort area's restaurants, nightlife and activities.
On a stroll around our wooded two acres, you will encounter deer, wild turkey,
and our many resident ducks, not parking lots, traffic, and crowded rental
homes. Recapture that rustic lakeside feeling, at Deep Creek Lake's Premier
Country Inn. Simply the best location and accommodations on Deep Creek Lake.
"We have always loved Deep Creek Lake and have never found a hotel there that
rivals this wonderful place. The rooms are adorable and they have thought
of everything to make you comfortable and pampered. But the real appeal is the
atmosphere. You feel so welcome and everybody is so friendly - the staff and
the other guests! There is so much to do and they have everything you could
want at the inn. If you want to play tennis on their tennis court they have
racquets and balls. If you want to fish off their dock, they have poles and
tackle boxes all ready for you. Even bait! They have bikes you can use, and a
campfire ring with a big stack of wood right beside it. We took one of the
canoes out on the lake and paddled over to Deep Creek Lake State Park. We suggest
going to the Deep Creek Lake Discovery Center and Swallow Falls is just
beautiful. We can't wait to come back to Deep Creek Lake and Carmel
Cove!" - Gary & Sarah, Arlington, Va.
"In a hectic & busy/demanding world, our goal was to escape, relax & be pampered - all of which were accomplished at Carmel Cove!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & are grateful for the wonderful service & courteous staff - we will definitely return! Also, will spread the news of a wonderful hide-away in Deep Creek!"
"Lovely... elegant... a cozy place where I found the morning newspaper before breakfast and after dinner chocolates and sherry in the evening." - James Yenckel, The Washington Post
"We stayed at this inn on our last trip to the Deep Creek Lake and really
loved it. We have stayed at at least six places around the lake, but intend to
stay at Carmel Cove from now on. We stayed in a "deluxe" room that had the
most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, a huge bathroom with two sinks, and a
nice view of the woods. The innkeepers were great people that we felt were new
friends by the time we left. We hung around the fire and made s'mores, shot
pool in the great room, took out the canoes, and fished off of the dock.
Didn't catch a thing :) The breakfasts were unbelievable, and every time we turned
around there were snacks and appetizers and chocolates put out in the great
room. There were free drinks available all the time, which was great when we
came in off the lake. A nice switch from your standard vending machines. We
really liked the woodsy camping feel of the area. It was rustic outside, but
inside it was luxurious and comfortable. We really felt at
home." -Canonsburg, Pa.
"Best little hotel at Deep Creek Lake! We'll be back!" - Sue Stupanovich,
Towson, Md.
"Our first trip to Deep Creek and to a B&B and we couldn't have been happier
with our choice. The inn was way beyond our expectations and the Deep Creek
Lake area was wonderful." - Pittsburgh, Pa.
